I found that an idle Friday morning is often the best time to visit Harper’s Island wetlands, and often the best time to do anything that doesn’t involve the necessity to be around other people. It was my first time there in about a year, having previously become frustrated by my lack of ability to take a reasonably decent photo of the various waterfowl.

But now and again, there’s an obliging Stonechat and friends. We’re not going to talk about the Sand Martins. My brain can’t keep up with them in flight, so my camera never even gets the opportunity.
